Jonathan Paul Linton

Jonathan Paul Linton passed away peacefully at his home in Grand Lake, CO surrounded by his loving family on the 4th on July, 2022.

Survived by his parents, Paul and Lois Linton of Grand Lake, 3 brothers, Dave, Tim (Cindy), and Matt, 6 nieces and nephews, 3 great-nephews plus 2 on the way, along with other relatives.

Jon was born on July 16th, 1956 in Wilmington, DE.

Among his many passions were snowmobiling, hiking, mountain biking, cross-country skiing and golfing with his friends. He made friends easily with his quiet laid-back personality and was always ready to lend a helping hand. Jon co-owned the Mountain Market in Grand Lake for several decades and sold the business in 2019. He remained employed there as the butcher until his passing.

The family wishes to thank friends, family and the community of Grand Lake for the love, support, and prayers you have shown us during this time. Arrangements are being made through Grand County Mortuary & Crematory. A memorial service will be held at a later time.

There will be celebration of his life at Stillwater Community Chapel on Hwy 34 beginning at 10:00am, with the service and reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jon’s name can be made to the Grand Lake Trail Groomers or the Grand Lake Historical Society.

Jon was our snowmobile tour guide several times on our trips to Grand Lake. My group has many stories and fond memories on our time with Jon. To this day we call a single-track route through thick woods a "Jon Trail" as that is the type of riding we experienced with him! Our prayers and condolences go out to his family and friends.
