The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart,
the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul.
It's the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she shows.
Actress Audrey Hepburn
Long time Winter Park resident Jeanette Kelly passed to a more peaceful life November 28, 2012.
Born March 2, 1950 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Jeanette attended Sandia High School where she was a cheerleader and an exceptional student. Subsequent to graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Education and an emphasis on Special Education from the University of New Mexico, she traveled the world as a flight attendant for Braniff International Airlines for ten years out of Dallas, Texas and Charlotte, North Carolina. After moving to Denver, Colorado she received her Certified Paralegal Degree from the University of Denver and worked for Feiger & Hyman Law Firm. Weekends and holidays brought her to ski the slopes of Winter Park. Jeanette fell in love with Grand County and eventually made Winter Park and Frazier her home for the last fifteen years. During those years she worked at Rosie's Kitchen, assisted Attorney Jack DiCola's Law Firm, managed Winter Park Mountain Lodge Sales and Housekeeping, owned Marvin's Hideaway, and managed the Winter Park office for Dapcpa Pope & Associates.
A beautiful woman - inside and outside, Jeanette loved everyone she met with a deep unconditional love. She loved life and family. Her greatest joys were her son Kevin Kelly and her two grandchildren, Aiden and Collin. Jeanette is deeply missed by her son Kevin Kelly of Frazier, CO; her sister Jamie Kyriakos (Mike) of Kirkwood, MO; brothers Edwin Jordan Jr. of Albuquerque, N.M. and Richard Wynn Jordan (Irene) of Denver, CO; nieces Barbara Jordan of Albuquerque, N.M., Jennifer Antonio (James) of Denver, CO, Susan McEntee (Patrick) of Albuquerque, N.M., Kathy, Jordan of Albuquerque, N.M.; nephews Matt Kyriakos (Paula) of Albuquerque, NM, Mike Kyriakos (Sara) of Lawrence, KS, Kelly Kyriakos (Danielle) of Town and Country, MO, Michael Munoz (Melissa) of Denver, CO; former husband Patrick Kelly of Dallas, Texas; seven grand nephews; and five grand nieces. Jeanette is preceded in death by her parents Edwin and Hazel Jordan, aunts Grace Everett and Edith Borden, uncles Wynn Everett and Jack Borden, and sister-in-law Yoshiko Jordan.
The family would like to thank the wonderful friends of Winter Park who have been so caring and supportive as the family works through their huge and very difficult loss.
A celebration of Jeanette's life is being planned for early spring.
Donations can be made to the Grand County Animal Shelter.

Jeannette was my step-mom, one who taught me the value of thank you notes, the importance of manners, ettique and the value of the heart. I know that she possessed the highest regard for Kevin, her family and friends. She is a great person that is gone in body but, will live on in her Son, Step-Son and Grandchildren. Thank you for teaching me manners, hospital corners, compassion, forgivness and strength. Most of all thank you for my brother Kevin, someone who impresses me today and tomorrow. - Chris Kelly

Gone too soon by Simple Plan Hey there now Where'd you go You left me here so unexpected You changed my life I hope you know cause now I'm lost So unprotected In a blink of an eye I never got to say goodbye Like a shooting star Flyin' across the room So fast so far You were gone too soon You're part of me And I'll never be The same here without you You were gone too soon You were always there and like shining light on my darkest days you were there to guide me Oh I miss you now I wish you could see Just how much your memory Will always mean to me In a blink of an eye I never got to say goodbye Like a shooting star Flyin' across the room So fast so far You were gone too soon You're part of me And I'll never be The same here without you You were gone too soon Shine on! Shine on! To a better place Shine on! Shine on! Will never be the same Like a shooting star Flyin' across the room So fast so far You were gone too soon You're part of me And I'll never be The same here without you You were gone too soon Shine on! Shine on! You were gone too soon Shine on! Shine on! You were gone too soon Shine on! Shine on! You were gone too soon
