Obituary of Traci Brammer

Traci Brammer of Tabernash, CO lost her courageous battle with cancer on a beautiful, bluebird day, March 9th, 2014.

Traci was born on July 19, 1971 in Lansing, KS. She spent her childhood years in Wisconsin. Before graduating from Janesville Craig High in 1989, she traveled as a Rotary Foreign Exchange Student to Finland. She then went on to graduate from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in 1993 with a degree in Recreation Management and Sociology.

With plans to stay for a ski season, she and a close friend made their journey to the great state of Colorado. Her first job at Timberhouse Ski Lodge in Winter Park provided her with wonderful, lifelong friends and the desire to stay in Colorado longer than a season. She worked maintenance at Pole Creek Golf Course in the summer and taught skiing and snowboarding at Winter Park Resort in the winters, where she met the love of her life, John. She quickly realized that her short trip to Colorado would become a permanent stay.

Traci and John were married in 2000 at Columbine Point at Snow Mountain Ranch. Their beautiful daughter Kylee Brynn Brammer was born in 2003. Traci spent the last 14 years working for the Town of Winter Park Public Works Department, a job and employer that she said is the best she has ever had.

A proud part owner of the Green Bay Packers, a heavy equipment operator, fearless Girl Scout Leader, tireless volunteer, Bearded Fat Guys Softball team captain and catcher, animal foster parent, trusted friend and confidant, Traci put her heart into everything she did. Her loss is felt deeply and heavily amongst all who knew and loved her.

You are a wife, mom, daughter, sister, our friend, our inspiration, our hero. You are loved and you are missed. We trust and pray that the plans for you are big - too big for us to understand. We certainly weren't ready to give you up. Watch over us and continue to be our rock. We are going to need you to see us through this.
