Timothy Christian Rogers of Grand Lake, CO, born January 6, 1986, passed away at the age of 40, leaving behind family and friends who will miss him dearly.
Tim loved the outdoors and felt most at home in the mountains or by a lake. He and his beloved dog Tiva shared many happy days exploring trails and experiencing nature together. He took pleasure in helping family members, especially his grandma, with landscaping or identifying plants, usually in Latin. Tim loved playing his guitar and singing, glassblowing, and being with friends. He had a mischievous streak and lived life on his own terms. Highly intelligent, quick-witted, and armed with a wonderful sense of humor, Tim could talk for days. Conversations with him were rarely short, never dull, and often left those around him with something to think or laugh about long after the conversation ended.
Tim grew up in Fort Smith, AR, and graduated from Southside HS in 2004. He received a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from the University of AR in 2009 and a Master of Environmental Studies from Evergreen State College in 2012.
Tim was preceded in death by his grandparents, John E. Fox, Sr., and Penny M. Fox of Fayetteville, AR, and Emily W. Rogers of Searcy, AR; his uncle, John E. Fox, Jr., of Tulsa, OK; and his dog and very faithful companion Tiva.
Tim is survived by his parents, Mike Rogers of Fort Smith, AR, and Tory Gaddy (Jeff) of Fayetteville, AR; his brother, Ben Rogers (Katherine) of Newport, RI; his sister, Caitlin Akins (Rylie) of Princeton, TX; and his aunts, Jeanie Fox of Fayetteville, AR, Lorrie Richardson (Jim) of Muskogee, OK, and Susan Shrell (Richard) of Maumelle, AR. He leaves behind one nephew and two nieces: Liam Akins, Penelope Akins, and Margot Akins.
Tim is also survived by his cousins Jesse Fox (Samantha) and their children, Maya and Addy; Hilary Richardson; Molly Moore (Lake) and their son Lake; Jack Richardson; Hailey Ward (Tyler); Hanna Shrell; and Hope Shrell.
Private interment will be at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville, AR, on Saturday, October 17, 2026, followed by a visitation from 2:30 to 4:30 at the home of Tory and Jeff Gaddy, 1380 S. River Meadows Dr., Fayetteville, AR, for anyone wishing to attend.
If you would like to donate in Tim’s name, please do so to your favorite no-kill animal shelter/sanctuary.
