Thomas (Tom) W. Newton Sr., 90, of Fraser, passed away on March 29, 2026.

He was born in Youngstown, OH on August 31, 1935.

Tom met Constance B. Newton at Chanter Wood Camp in Lee, Massachusetts, in the summer of 1953. They were married April 27, 1957 and celebrated 59 years of marriage. Tom served in the Air Force from 1954-1958. He graduated from Newark College of Engineering on a GI bill. Tom had a 30 year career in technical sales, traveling the world in the mining industry. An opportunity arose where he, along with partners, was able to purchase the company MPSI, in York, Pennsylvania. Five years later he sold the company and was able to retire.

His love of the mountains brought his son and daughters to the Fraser Valley where their families still live. He skied until he was 88 and continued golfing his whole life. He loved playing Monday family golf teaming up with Tommy and competing against Linda & Cindy. He was always asking for gimmies, saying “I haven’t missed a putt that short since the Butztown Open.” Tom played in the old guy's league and he was proud to shoot his age last year. He enjoyed singing in the Grand Chorale and the Church of Eternal Hills choir. He also volunteered with Grand concerts and many other entities. Tom was fortunate to meet Mary Williamson in 2018 and they enjoyed 8 wonderful years together including a round-the-world cruise and a recent two month trip to Hawaii.

He was predeceased by his wife Connie, his brothers Jerry and Harry and his sister Nancy . He is survived by his three children Thomas (Tommy) W. Newton Jr. (wife, Carolyn), Linda Moore (husband, Chris), Cindy Moynahan (husband, Shawn), three grandchildren: Josh Keen, Danielle Paikuli (husband, Bram), Megan Anderson (husband, Chap) and his first brand new great grandson Kaison Paikuli.
