It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, Susan Carmel Adcock, known by loved ones as Sue or Susie. She left to be with the lord on August 31st, 2026, in Kremmling, Colorado. At the time of her death she was in the arms of her daughters, Jenny Knapp and Leslie Knapp.

Susan was preceded by parents, Wilfred (Bill) Blaschka, Lois M. Blaschka, and brother, James Blaschka, lovingly known as Jimmy.
She is survived by daughters, Jenny Knapp (Jeff Campbell), and Leslie Knapp (Chad Ingalls). Grandchildren, Dylan James Vincent, and Grace James Moffat.

Susan was born on September 9th, 1957 in Alaska. Her parents moved to Mercer Island, Washington before settling in Sunnyvale, California. She attended kindergarten through high school with the same classmates, some of which became lifelong friends.

Susan moved to Colorado in 1976 to make a new life. Here she met Clancy Knapp, who she married in 1981. She later went on to marry Mark Doherty, followed by Jim Adcock.

She had many careers and found great fulfillment in taking care of special needs clients as an Integration Specialist. She was a skilled stained glass artist and loved crafting. Among her many interests was collecting antiques, jewelry and immersing herself in books and writing.

Our mother had a lifelong love of the Pacific Ocean, venturing as far as Hawaii and Mexico. She thoroughly enjoyed long drives with a hot cup of coffee and a friend. There was a special spot in her heart for horses (she loved to ride) and animals of all kinds.

Susan enjoyed her retirement in Kremmling, Colorado with her daughter, Jenny, and grandchild, Grace. Spending cold nights snuggled up with a good book and a cup of coffee. On warm summer days she could be found painting on the dock. She gave immense love to those around her and was fiercely loved in return.
