It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, Susan Carmel Adcock, known by loved ones as Sue or Susie. Susan left to be with the lord on August 31st, 2026, in Kremmling, Colorado. She was in the arms of her daughters, Jenny Knapp and Leslie Knapp.

Born on September 9th, 1957 in Alaska, the family moved to Mercer Island, Washington, before settling in Sunnyvale, California with her parents and beloved brother, Jimmy. She went to school from kindergarten through highschool with the same class. Susie graduated from Freemont High School in 1975 alongside lifelong friends.

Susan moved to Colorado in 1976 with her highschool sweetheart, later, meeting Clancy Knapp in 1978 and married in 1981. The couple had their first daughter, Leslie Anne in May of 1981 and Jenny Lynn followed in the winter of 1982.

Later going on to marry Mark Doherty, followed by Jim Adcock.

Susan had a lifelong love of the Pacific Ocean. She traveled the country venturing as far as Hawaii and Mexico.

She thouroughly enjoyed long drives with a hot cup of coffee and a friend. She loved horses and riding and animals of all kinds, collecting antiques and jewelry. She was a skilled stained glass artist and loved crafting. She immersed herself in books and writing.

She had many great jobs and found great fulfillment in taking care of special needs clients as an integration specialist.

Susan enjoyed her retirement in Kremmling, Colorado with her daughter, Jenny, and grandchild, Grace Moffat. She spent cold nights snuggled up with a good book and a cup of coffee and could be found on warm summer days painting on the dock. She gave immense love and she was fiercely loved by many.
