Patsy Ann Rogers came into this world in the small town of Belle, Missouri. She lived there for a while, and eventually her family relocated to Fraser, Colorado.
Patsy had 7 children, 5 girls and 2 boys, along with 15 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.
Patsy was a character and loved to sing to anyone who would listen. She loved to dance and taught her children how to jitterbug and two step and would show off her skills at tap dancing. She enjoyed listening to her country records and thought she could yodel. She enjoyed her soap operas in the afternoon and always had a cup of coffee in her hand. She enjoyed playing badminton and Yahtzee. She had a flare for fashion, among her favorite were her bell bottom pants.
Patsy enjoyed cooking and taught her children all her kitchen secrets. She also had a passion for reading and kept a library of books she enjoyed.
She loved to travel and lived in Hawaii and then California for several years before returning to Fraser. Patsy was known to be spontaneous so many of the jeep rides in the backcountry were on a whim. Trips to see the changing colors or listen to the elk bugling in the fall was one of her greatest passions. Patsy also loved to go “speed” hiking and would leave family members in the dust during those hikes. Before retirement she enjoyed working and being around those she worked with. In her free time, she spent many hours creating beautiful latch hook rugs and cross stitch pictures. She loved her family and spent as much time as she could with all her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Patsy was also known as Pippy Silverheels to her family and a few close friends. If you know the story, you know!
Patsy passed away peacefully at home of natural causes. She was preceded in death by her oldest daughter, Elizabeth.
