Linda Moore passed away in her home in Granby, CO on Monday July 11th, 2016 after a short but difficult battle with pancreatic cancer. Linda was born in California and grew up in New Jersey with her brother Mike Silverman; whom still resides there. However, the mountains of Colorado is where Linda always considered her home.
Linda lived in Granby, CO for 36 years with her husband Rod Moore. She also worked as a Driver's License Examiner for 28 years. Linda's career placed her in the path of almost every resident of Granby and surrounding areas. She was well known and loved by almost everyone who met her. An optimistic attitude and a smiling face were what everyone knew and will always remember about her. It is what her family will always remember about her. Linda loved what she did and always had a story or two tell about her encounters. Her dream was always to write a book about the adventures of working at the DMV.
Linda leaves behind her husband; Rod, whom is also a well-known face in the county. Two grown children B.J. and Holly, neither of whom still reside in Granby but will forever consider the mountains their home and her 5-year old grandson; Hudson Rocky, the light of her life.
No formal services will be held for Linda as she didn't want anything fancy and it doesn't suit who she was. The family will, however, be hosting a celebration of Linda's life at her home; 811 East Jasper Court in Granby on Saturday July 16, 2016. No set time just stop on by. Food and drinks will be provided as well as a way to say goodbye to Linda one last time.
In lieu of flowers or gifts Linda wanted donations to be made in her name for the research of Pancreatic Cancer. Donations made be made to the Wings of Hope foundation. As all proceeds go to research at University Hospital in Denver where Linda received all of her care. www.wingsofhopecr.org/donate
