Kremmling

Bev “Munga” Withrow, 75, of Kremmling, peacefully returned to her heavenly home on May 21, 2024.

Born on October 16, 1948, in Fruita, CO, to Ida and Willard Barcus. Bev was a longtime resident of Kremmling. She is survived by her older brothers Joe (Karen) and Del (Francie), children Corey and Corina (Tim), grandchildren Wesley, Michael, Tristan (Kaela), Kayley, and Masen, great-grandchildren Landon, Violet, and Bella, along with many lifelong friends.

Bev was a ranch cook in Cisco, Utah, until it was time to move to town so Corey could start school. After she moved to Kremmling, she was very proud to be a foreman at Louisiana Pacific in the 1980's. She then went to work at the meat market. Bev co-owned J&B Leather, where she made cinches, headstalls, halters, moccasins, purses, and wallets. Bev taught 4-H kids the art of tooling leather. She would leave the leather shop each evening to bar-tend at the bowling alley until closing time. Bev was a cook at Grand River Ranch Lodge for several years. Bev retired from cooking at the Kremmling Hospital.

Munga made fabulous German chocolate birthday cakes for family and friends. When Masen was two weeks old, Munga was delighted to watch him grow while his mom was at work. This was her happiest time in life. Munga got to spend many hours going for walks with Landon, Violet, and Bella during her time in Boulder. She spent the last months of her life at Boulder Canyon Health and Rehabilitation, where she prayed with and made sure that all of the ladies in her hall were doing all right.

Munga will be missed by everyone who knew her. The family would like to thank the staff at BCHR for the loving care she received while she was there.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 29th, 2024 at the Kremmling Community Church, 11:00am with a potluck to follow...come and share stories, food and fellowship.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to your local animal shelter.

For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
