Adala Marie Sanders

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Adala "Dayday" Sanders, who left us on May 18, 2025, at the age of 38. Born and raised in Grand County on April 10, 1987, Adala was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, and friend who touched countless hearts throughout her life.

Adala truly embodied kindness and an unwavering willingness to help. Working all over Grand County, where her compassionate spirit left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered. Her natural gift for connecting with people, especially children, was evident in every aspect of her life.

More than anything, Adala was an amazing mother to her three cherished children, Faymarie (18), Kyle Ray (16), and Ethan (14). Her love for them knew no bounds, and she poured her heart into nurturing and supporting them. She extended that same boundless love to her extended family, deeply enjoying time with all the kids and serving as an amazing aunt to not only her eight nieces and nephews, but so many more.

Adala is survived by her loving spouse, Alex Maitland; her devoted children, Faymarie Lynn, Kyle Ray, and Ethan Micheal; her parents, Ray and Vickie Sanders of Parshall; her sisters, Elizabeth Sanders, Jessica Brinkley, and Heather Breinling; and her three brother-in-laws, along with her many nieces and nephews. Her kind heart, infectious spirit, and generous nature will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A service to celebrate Adala's life will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Kaibab Park.
